Tremendous piece on a subject most Irish people never even give a thought to, but has huge impact on so many immigrants’ lives. Please read and share #speirghorm

Outrageous. Irish households are paying some of the highest electricity bills in Europe, while big tech companies get a free ride from their mates in government.

I had counselling today and, I feel really dysregulated after. It's really difficult work. I feel like I want to run away from myself but unfortunately I cannot because i'm attached to myself. I wish I could climb out of my body and go somewhere but i'm not sure where.

Sometimes the best urban solutions are right there in front of us

Sometimes we might have to remove the barriers so everyone can see them

I'm seeing loads of houses for rent on Daft from March 1st stating a one year lease. That would be illegal under the new legislation no?

Crown Shyness A man sat at the table parallel to mine, shoulders rounded being pulled to the ground by something familiar to me.

#Spéirgorm #Spéirghorm Just posted a #shortstory on substack called "Crown Shyness" so scary sharing but anyway it was inspired by a photo shared by @robgmacfarlane.bsky.social (on the other place back in the day) and lived experience so anyway here's a link substack.com/@hannahosull...

FFS. Co living, a nightmare. Are single people infantalised? Or just conveniently as part of the manufactured housing crisis. Suspect both. People want to be independent, live privately and if they choose to live with someone that's their business, I mean family. #speirgorm

Body diversity returns to London fashion week as wider industry heads ultra-thin Karoline Vitto, Phoebe English and Sinead Gorey include wide range of body shapes on catwalks

Loving the threads but 'diversity' so often doesn't include #disabled people.

"Body diversity has made a comeback at London fashion week despite a wider shift towards ultra-thinness in the...industry."

I'll keep scouring images..

Literally just finished this earlier today, have been trying to finish it for ages, not because it's not good it's really good (so many really great Irish authors at the mo) but because it's just such tough subject matter, I needed to kind of take breaks between reading it.

It's prob full of typos & was part of a larger piece of writing but made it into a short story. @omgitsagirl2015.bsky.social I did a bit of work on this short story 😊 thank you for your editorial eye last time.
