yeah, I've had plenty of dealings/learnings with the gut-brain connection... we can push it around with dietary changes & meds and stuff, which is very useful, but basically it's an evolutionary-designed black box of random processes from eons of chemistry vibe coding. weird as hell!

I'm looking this up and I guess that makes sense, we had to evolve as tubes before we needed a second brain for limbs and stuff
