This might sound strange, but as a Muppet fan I've actually gotten so used to Matt Vogel's Kermit it feels a bit weird going back to Steve Whitmire's when I rewatch the older shows or movies (not that either version is bad, they're just different).

I first read that as "Mr. Bean on the moon" and now I want to see a Mr. Bean movie where he goes into space.

I remember when Season 3 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic premiered, the commercial breaks consisted of 60% Gak ads (one break had three of them air back-to-back in a row). It got to the point where Gak became a meme within the MLP fandom for a brief period of time.

This was during a period where the Simpsons really got lazy with their parody names. Often just changing the first letter of something (usually it being an M).

"Instead of Apple, what about MAPPLE?!"
"Instead of Pixar, how about MIXAR?!"

There's nothing wrong with minor name changes, but they at least have to be funny. "Bleggo Blocks" sounds funny, "Moon Sailor" sounds funny.

What the fuck is a "Mapple"?

(give some credit to iCarly, the "Pear" devices make some form of sense as a joke)

Young people watch Ren & Stimpy?

I try to keep this in mind when designing and developing characters. Nobody wants to watch "normal people", normal people are boring (and they also don't exist). Let cartoon characters be cartoon characters!

I often say that the best type of character design is when you can take one look at the character and easily tell their personality. @chadrocco.bsky.social not only does this with a redesign of Supna, but two drastically different redesigns.

Originally Quick Draw was going to appear in his normal design, but then I realized him holding the gun like that made it look like he was about to shoot Marigold, which while funny wasn't the tone I was going for, hence him appearing as El Kabong in the final piece.

Happy 30th to one of my top three Muppet movies, Muppet Treasure Island. I religiously watched this movie a lot as a kid;it’s still a nostalgic favorite and i had a big fat grin on my daxe seeing it on the big screen on Saturday
But any case it’s amazing I’m one year behind my favorite Muppet movie
