Opening just one eye. An ear turned Sevika’s direction. Reacting to the commotion of movement as she got closer.

Only beginning to turn over as she got close enough. Head lifted to meet her own.

Producing a short chuff. Tail curling and tapping soft.

That’s a strangely targeted request

Slow. Squinty tired blinking. Nose scrunching, eyes narrowed against the dim light.

It’s well enough to be a nuisance to sensitive eyes.

Turning their head away slightly to lay back down again. Ears pinned back and accompanied by grumbling complaint. Paws tucked under a fluffy cheek.

- Jayce narrowed eyes.

One ear turning forward. Showing interest. But not before, "So you're encouragin' drinking on the job? tsk." Their lip tweaks up slightly, curling for just a moment. "Sure I can try it. Won't hurt at least."

A breath is released slow. Deliberate. Eyes rolling as they shift and turn away "Okay, dad."

Voice dripping with sarcasm, leaning towards Jayce with a small scrunch to his nose. Betraying any action that would have seemed aggressive. Head turning as the drink is described. This time earning -

- man. Never really been one to drink often.” Shoulders lift in a shrug.

They all sounded like wonderful ideas. But. Not something Blue ever cared to try any of. Never had the time. The money. Or the patience to worry about any of it or even find themselves assed about it.

“You got a favorite?”

Sharp eyes flick to the stack of papers.

Habit.

Pulling the leg that had been resting in the booth close. Blue watches. Observing. The slow turn earning a breath of laughter. Nose wrinkling with the action.

Of course it wasn’t the answer that Jayce was looking for.

“Can’t really say big -

- is it?” A brow raises.

Blues head drops to the side. Breathing out a sigh. “Can’t say I know many drinks. Too used to being around Sev and the paint thinner she enjoys.” A shrug. Body shifting as they sit forward.

“The blood of my enemies.” The answer is quick and without thought. Blinking slow as their gaze shifts.

Focusing on Jayce. One paw kicked up on the seat of a rounded booth. Arms raised to rest on the tufted leather. Tail swaying. Curling against the wood floor. “That’s not what you’re asking for -
