As the cab's lights lit up the scene, Jxxng could finally see him clearly. He looked like a total mess – his hair was toussled, and his makeup was smeared. But what really caught his attention was the desperate, pleading look in his eyes, which Jxxng couldn't ignore.

Jxxng put him down and created a distance between them. He ignored him and continued to get a cab. “Just because I went back for you there, doesn't mean I'm not aware of–”

“Please. I'm begging you. I can't go home like this. He’ll hate me.”

Men started swarming him so Jxxng decided to run past everyone, took off his coat to cover his wet dress as he lifted him up in his arms, carrying him out.

He was about to hail a cab when Hwa grabbed his collar. “No. Please. I can't go home like this.”

His knees wobbled causing him to fall on one of the tables. The drinks drenched his clothes.

Jxxng didn't want to look back but the commotion was getting loud so he did. Hwx was now sprawled out on the floor, passed out.

He placed his card on the counter. “I know who you are. And what you're trying to do. I'm not dumb, Mrs. Park.” He spared him a look before turning around to leave.

“Wait!” Hwx tried to balance himself as he chased him but of course that ended up in a disaster.

“How long are you going to try and ignore me?” Hwx tried to keep his balance as he stood right beside Jxxng.

The guy didn't even bother looking at him. He just continued drinking. “Took you long enough to figure it out. But I really have no plans on getting involved with you.”

He expected that Jxxng was a tough one to crack but he didn't expect that it would take him a week and a half for him to notice him. Hwx tried everything just to get his attention until one night he just lost it and got really drunk.

He’s using his distressed state as his husband's wife to lure these men. He will be as vulnerable as he could to get their sympathy. One thing he learned from how his husband is treating him is that it boosts men’s ego when they know they could save you. That's their weakness.

It was never his intention to hurt him because he was sure and he knows that it was never serious. But with Jxxng, everything was different. He should've known. Because unlike his husband's past rivals, Jxxng is a bachelor.

His tactic involves visiting the same bar as them.

Eventually he realized those only happened when he did something that would make him happy. Like a trophy for doing a great job. But he didn't pay attention to any of that because he still hoped he would eventually get the love he deserves from him. That was until he met Jxxng.

But he loved him so much that he agreed to marry him even if it's just for the sake of saving his family's company.

They were civil. There were times that he felt he did love him back. He’ll spoil him.

He was never new to this kind of plan. People might find it weird but this is how things mostly work between him and his husband. This is how he proves he deserves to be by his side. Truth is he knows his husband doesn't love him the way that he did.

Everyone from their side was cheering, overjoyed, except for Hwx whose eyes are now fixated to the man not far across from him who was giving him a look. A mixture of frustration and resentment. Well, he couldn't blame him. What they had was far from something Hwx was planning to do.

As expected, the board and clients favored his husband's company. After months of spending time with the rival company’s CEO, Hwx gathered enough details about their plan and proposals so they could come up with a much more promising one.
