Itโs worse than that. The draw was alphabetical. We wouldnโt have had Chelsea at home. It would have been Newcastle Away ๐ฉ
Imagine 3,000 Reds at St James Parkโฆ

Socialist. Wrexham AFC forever. I was here when we were shit.

100% correct. Iโm gutted. What was Parky thinking with that team selection? Weโre probably going to lose to Cov anyway. This was an opportunity to beat Cardiff and secure a Prem match in the quarter finals. Anyone who says this was โjust a cup matchโ doesnโt understand us.

29.10.2025 13:16 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Phew. Just home. The Racecourse crowd took us over the line there. That atmosphere during the final 15 minutes was immense. Max and Dobbo fighting like Spartans right to the final whistle. I need a glass of wine...

I know, but youโre much closer to London than you are to Wrexham, right? If you can get to London, you can hitch a ride with London Reds ๐คทโโ๏ธ
18.10.2025 14:55 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0You should definitely email someone to let them know youโd like to have it changed ๐

04.10.2025 00:42 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0For sure. Thereโs a fantastic atmosphere between fans in the pubs when Wales play anyone except England, especially Ireland and France. Iโve had brilliant rugby weekends in Paris and Dublin. Twickenham? Not so muchโฆ
26.09.2025 19:22 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Ah - Iโve never watched a womenโs rugby match, but Iโm right behind anyone playing England.
26.09.2025 18:41 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0This weekend?
26.09.2025 11:08 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Sidenote... This is why we have so many castles. More per square mile than any other country. Built mainly by the English (Normans) and Edward I, to keep the Welsh subdued, but a few (like Castell Dinas Bran in Llangollen, near Wrexham) built by Welsh princes to defend against the English.
25.09.2025 21:02 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0For a fascinating historical rabbit hole, dig into the Wars of the Roses which lasted 30 years in the 15th Century and ended with (the Welsh) King Henry VII winning the Battle of Bosworth Field to establish the Tudor dynasty. Game of Thrones has nothing on this. Murders, betrayals...it has the lot.
25.09.2025 21:02 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0They're lions. Good spot on the feathers - they're symbolic of the Prince of Wales. Wales was conquered by Edward I in the 14th Century. Glyndwr was the last Welsh Prince of Wales; it became an English appointment after his rebellion against Henry IV in the early 15th Century was defeated.
25.09.2025 21:02 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Ahahaha! Valley Girls are a force of nature. Usually to be found wearing a Welsh rugby shirt and dancing on a table, singing Tom Jones' greatest hits.
25.09.2025 20:26 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ah - there'll be no problem in the ground. It's outside that they will be concentrated. Very rare that there's any problem these days though. The police are all over it.
25.09.2025 20:23 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ahaha! Everyone has loads. Being young (and skint) we would do anything to see Wales play an International. We sold programmes, forged tickets, jumped turnstiles...anything. So many stories from the subsequent nights out in Cardiff too. Every pub singing...and the girls from the valleys... ๐
25.09.2025 20:18 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0Iโd like to see those bloody English feathers gone (and the โich dienโ motto). Maybe replace them with some version of the Glyndwr dragons.
(Only problem with that plan is half the population of Wrexham has the current badge tattooed somewhere on their body ๐คฃ)
If you're lucky, you'll experience the perfect environment, eating the food of the Gods, whilst leaning against a wall (for necessary support, due to excessive refreshment) in the rain. It's heaven.
25.09.2025 20:04 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Wales/France at the Millennium Stadium is an incredible experience. Cardiff is the capital of Wales but it's a small city, so the rugby dominates everywhere. Welsh and French fans love each other as we share our hatred of England (see also, Wales/Ireland). It will be an unforgettable weekend. Come!
25.09.2025 20:02 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Caroline Street. It's iconic in Cardiff. Pretty much the whole City migrates there to finish the night. Every takeaway you can imagine. Chicken curry with half n half chips and rice is the local delicacy. Great atmosphere, especially if Wales have won a rugby international (that used to happen).
25.09.2025 19:43 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0The vast majority are great. I was in Cardiff for the Wales vs Liechtenstein match and the Cardiff fans treated us like celebs. Cardiff is the absolute best night out in the UK, no doubt about it. Fantastic place...especially with the mandatory final stop of Chippy Alley...
25.09.2025 19:16 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Very true - but the Old Bill are all over it these days. CCTV and banning orders have pretty much fixed the issue. Look at how smoothly it went at Millwall. You're right though - some of the Cardiff lads are nutters.
25.09.2025 19:07 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0...and there'll be plod absolutely everywhere. They'll be a lot of shouting and gesticulating, for sure, but any actual violence is highly unlikely. A lot more smoke than fire these days.
25.09.2025 19:03 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ah - civilised and sophisticated gentlemen like @wxmbloke.bsky.social and myself are entirely safe, and there'll be decent Cardiff fans mixing with us in the Turf. It's just the young hoolies on either side who would kick off (given the opportunity)...and only with each other.
25.09.2025 19:03 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 2 ๐ 0To be fair, some of our youngsters would jump at the chance to get a little sporty, too. They're no angels... ๐ฌ
