Trump says NATO wouldn't support the US. The US is the only country ever to invoke Article 5 (compelling all members to support a member under attack) after 9/11. The UK responded. We lost 457 killed in Afghanistan.
Denmark lost more troops per capita than any other nation.
Disrespectful prick.

Old Soviet joke:
Fella buys a newspaper every day, glances at the front cover, curses, throws it away.
Seller asks: "why always look at the cover but never inside?"
"I'm looking for an obituary."
"An obituary? They're on the back!"
"The obituary I'm looking for will be on the front page."

Many of us know precisely what's happening in the USA. I know the USA well; I've been dozens of times and have friends there. My heart breaks for you. Please don't disrespect us though, simply because you think Yanks don't understand. Wales is in Europe. It's not complicated. We matter.

The UK and other European countries need to accept that America does not respect us and does not share our values. America is no longer an ally (if it ever truly was). Together, we have more economic and military power than the USA. Cutting ties will be painful, but itβs clearly now necessary.

In fairness, it probably seems like a subtle distinction that I wouldn't necessarily expect you to understand in Canada. We're sensitive about it though. We're Europeans.

Itβs worse than that. The draw was alphabetical. We wouldnβt have had Chelsea at home. It would have been Newcastle Away π©

100% correct. Iβm gutted. What was Parky thinking with that team selection? Weβre probably going to lose to Cov anyway. This was an opportunity to beat Cardiff and secure a Prem match in the quarter finals. Anyone who says this was βjust a cup matchβ doesnβt understand us.

Phew. Just home. The Racecourse crowd took us over the line there. That atmosphere during the final 15 minutes was immense. Max and Dobbo fighting like Spartans right to the final whistle. I need a glass of wine...

Sidenote... This is why we have so many castles. More per square mile than any other country. Built mainly by the English (Normans) and Edward I, to keep the Welsh subdued, but a few (like Castell Dinas Bran in Llangollen, near Wrexham) built by Welsh princes to defend against the English.

For a fascinating historical rabbit hole, dig into the Wars of the Roses which lasted 30 years in the 15th Century and ended with (the Welsh) King Henry VII winning the Battle of Bosworth Field to establish the Tudor dynasty. Game of Thrones has nothing on this. Murders, betrayals...it has the lot.

They're lions. Good spot on the feathers - they're symbolic of the Prince of Wales. Wales was conquered by Edward I in the 14th Century. Glyndwr was the last Welsh Prince of Wales; it became an English appointment after his rebellion against Henry IV in the early 15th Century was defeated.

Ahaha! Everyone has loads. Being young (and skint) we would do anything to see Wales play an International. We sold programmes, forged tickets, jumped turnstiles...anything. So many stories from the subsequent nights out in Cardiff too. Every pub singing...and the girls from the valleys... π
