Little Christmas special on the Wisp account rn so have fun!

Dek sets in the coordinates for the location. The ship lifts off, cloaking as it reaches the sky.

Dek leans back. “I do have some equipment to keep me warm. Many hunters use it for these sort of things. It should be enough, but if you want to have an excuse to stay close I don’t mind.”

Dek stares down at the stick of meat. He cautiously takes it, holding it up to his gauntlet. A light scans over it, giving back some information, more importantly telling him it’s safe to eat.

He sits with a grunt, nodding to Taniks. “You would be correct.. I don’t know what you are.”

“There,” he points. He was taking them to Antarctica. Oh great. “I am not fond of the cold, but there is something there I would like to see with my own eyes. A temple from long ago was said to be destroyed within the ice.”

“Maybe there is something left to find.”

“Frozen wastelands…” That sounded challenging, but he wasn’t too big on the cold. Still there may be something worth checking out. “We will start there. Get it out of the way.”

Dek sits at the front, flipping a few switches and pulling up a map of Earth. He moves it around, pin pointing a spot.

Jess puts a comforting hand on Ka’lek’s arm. “I’m sure she would’ve. It’s a comforting thought that her spirit could be here in the jungle. At least I’m sure that’s something Cos or Shen would say.”

Dek takes out his bio-sword. He holds it out for Yu’Ju to take, making sure they hold it carefully. “I cut through many beasts with this sword. It slices through with ease.”

Yu’Ju’s eyes are drawn to the red glow of the sword. The swing it slowly in the air. “I’ve never seen something like this.”

The furs would go in a separate part of the ship as a little sleeping quarters. “You may put your things wherever. After, we may pick somewhere to go.”

Dek calls over a separated part of his ship that was cloaked a few miles back. As he waits for it to land, he’d gather the furs and the rest of his equipment.

“Yes.. You throw yourself and I’ll catch you. Always.” When the ship lands, Dek enters. He sets everything back into their original place.

“If he was by himself then maybeee. Oh well, we’ll just let them hang out till he leaves. Could build up some social skills for Yu’Ju.” Jess finishes his food. He sits back, watching.

Dek had finished eating at well, and was now just explaining how some of his weapons work. Yu’Ju sat and listened.

“Exploring?” Now that was something up Dek’s alley. He gets up, pulling J with him. “You would make a great guide. You have vast knowledge and experience. Also charming if that fits.” He says like it’s nothing.

He holds out his right arm to type a few things into his gauntlet. “We can do now?”

Dek nods. He turns his head to look at J. “I did enjoy it. Big explosion, the hunt. I would like to see this shark creature with my own eyes one day.”

“Hmm this movie, it’s made me question what else is on this planet. You’ve share some information, but I’d like to know more. See more.”

“They look like worthy opponents,” he comments. Dek didn’t realize it, but when J moved closer to him, his own arm would wrap comfortably around the man’s waist.

“Are humans always this foolish? They die rather quickly it looks.” His curiosity never ends.

“Think this is the first time I haven’t seen Yu’Ju try to kill another yautja their around their age. Starting to see a connection here,” Jess whispered over to Ka’lek.

The young Yautjas were too occupied with eating their food. Dek would even try to swipe at their food just to mess with them.

“Our entertainment would be considered of battle arenas, traditional dances, more fighting. But this… Interesting.”

He grows quiet, now fully focused on the movie.

Dek’s head tilts to the side. He reached over to pluck some popcorn from the bag. He sniffs then bites, chewing carefully. “Salty.. Weird taste, but good?”

His eyes flicker over to the movie, amazing by the technology of it. His eyes lighting up. “The pictures move!”

Dek blinks. His mandibles flare out, his mouth opening then closing. “Catching a movie..? Is it strong? I can take it down if it must be caught.” They don’t have movies on their planet.

He nods his head slowly. “Anything… I will gather when I deem worthy enough then.”

“Nonsense! It is..the Christmas way?” Did he use that right? Yeah, totally. “Cannot be bested either!” Dek moves to sit by J. His eyes trained on the ground. “Ah.. But what does your kind like? For reference of course. Need me to travel to another planet? I will.”

“What would you like?”

The Yautja presses his forehead against J’s with a light thump. His tone changes into something softer, warm, “Thank you, J.”

At least that’s what Dek was thinking. “This sheild will go well in pair with my sword. It will be shown off in many great battles!” he says confidently. “Very useful indeed.”

Dek walks up to J, standing in front of him. He puts a hand on his shoulder bringing him closer.

“This is..meaningful. I accept these gifts with great gratitude.” His mandibles press together, giving him a softer look. “You are kind, thoughtful. I will get you something in return. It is right of me to.”

What ever that may be, he’ll make sure it’s just as good. J deserved something as good.

Dek was..speechless to say the least. The pendant was beautifully crafted, and the shield was on a whole over level of cool. Dek always appreciates cool weaponry, after all it’s how he survives.

He rises to his feet, holding the necklace in his hands. He clicks softly, trying to find his words.

Now it was Dek’s turn to look surprised. He stares down them almost like he was waiting for something to pop out. “These are for me? Nothing won’t blow up in my face right?” He chittered.

Dek goes to sit on the ground, placing the boxes in front of him. He opens them both, taking a look inside.

He laughed, finding J’s shocked expression funny. “Do not look so surprised! It is common experience.” It most definitely wasn’t, at least not on that degree. But shhhh!

“I did care, like I care now for my clan, like I do for you too.”

“That’s how I lost this,” he points to his chipped, bottom right fang on his mandible. “Saved my brother from it when he was playing with it.”

He nods his head, arms crossed along his chest. “Yes..first Earth anything. …The lights are nice. Reminds me of many stars.”

“Gives gifts if you are good? That sounds ridiculous. Only gifts we give out on my planet is to impress potential mate before fighting.” Dek says as he watches J closely.

He thinks for a moment, looking back on memories. “Though I was given a toy by my father. It blows up when you look into it.”
