At this point the Hardsuit Bloodlines 2 should've just been cancelled so that the Chinese Room Bloodlines 2 could've been its own beast detached from said game (from watching gameplay it looks like a serviceable "Cyberpunk 2077 meets Dark Messiah at home" deal which makes it all the more obvious).

Okay so I just happen to know exactly which review you're talking about and I keep asking myself what exactly is wrong with her review (sorry but this post just feels mean spirited when knowing the context, in these situations it's better to either keep it to yourself or provide a proper rebuttal).

Mano quanto mais eu penso nesse vΓdeo mais eu fico com raiva vai tomar no cu velho. O fato do Chuckcew gastar mais de 20 segundos falando sobre jogo de garota de anime sendo estuprada enquanto ignora jogos incrΓveis como Primordia e The Dark Eye me dΓ£o uma Γ’nsia de vΓ΄mito do caralho velho pqp;

Mask off fuckwad who has retweeted more stuff about Charlie Kirk in the last week than he has bothered actually working on his videos or even talking about any CRPG other than Fallout in his entire career lmao.

Mask off fuckwad who has retweeted more stuff about Charlie Kirk in the last week than he has bothered actually working on his videos or even talking about any CRPG other than Fallout in his entire career lmao.

This all started over one of his videos appearing on my Youtube homepage.

Can't wait to Brian Deer this dumbfuck into shreds when I start making videos on Youtube.

I'll tear him a new one when the time comes, and I'll have no mercy.
(I promise I this is my last public post about him on bsky)

This is one of the main reasons why I dropped Silksong for later this year instead (that and me not jiving with it as much coming hot off the heels of a Hollow Knight replay). The whole review section for Silksong on Backloggd is basically The 120 Days of Sodom abridged for how bad it is right now.

Funniest thing is that the badge for getting 10+ likes in a review is called "Well Written", which is especially funny when someone earns this for a review that's just complaining about ratings and whatnot.

Disco Elysium is amazing, but it has one big issue:

It's so staggeringly good that it makes you reevaluate what you desire out of RPGs, knowing that you might never find a game that reaches the same highs as it.

It's a masterclass (and every one of its synonyms) in every sense of the word.

Goddamn, a Hugo Award for Qud? Fully deserved! Shout-outs to every writer involved for creating such a lyrical, mesmerizing world, and still have it hold together even after procedurally generating most of the connective tissue.

I'm not gonna lie, on one hand I feel kinda bad for having taken so long to watch Akira and Ghost in the Shell. On the other, I'm glad I took this long to watch either with the context of everything I've seen prior.

I think you'd really dig The Age of Decadence then. It's a game all about embodying and committing to a role (i.e Merchant excels at persuasion but falters significantly at combat, and Mercenary is the opposite, alongside stuff like Drifter and Praetor emphasising different elements of its systems).

Makes lotta sense. I put a lot of value in character creation systems in CRPGs and how much the game explores the limits of it (one of the main reasons why I love Arcanum and Disco Elysium so much, there are lots of tangible differences between each character archetype across the board in both).

I'm pretty excited to properly try again Pillars of Eternity after our conversations about it (Woodaba's review is also another major reason), especially since I've been in a big CRPG mood lately. Though I gotta say I find a bit odd at first glance to include it on best gameplay specifically.

If this was the kind of person representing my fanbase I'd commit seppuku and then roll on my grave out of fucking embarassment for being associated to openly racist idiots. This is one of the reasons why I feel bad for liking Fallout at times.

It's such a shame that what was one of the best websites for learning about Adventure Gamers ended up in such a state. The amount of coverage the staff gave to so many adventure games, be they well known or even fairly obscure stuff, was super insightful and plentiful too. Thankfully AGH lives on!

Really saddened over what Adventure Gamers has become. It was THE resource for adventure game news for almost 25 years. Seeing my first games reviewed there in the early 00s was the biggest thrill in the world. To see it turn into THIS is heartbreaking. Enshittification destroys everything.

And I learned about all this because of Creetosis, a self-proclaimed Fallout fan, who funnily enough has retweeted more posts from people engaging in the harrassment campaign against people like Ana than he has tweets acknowledging any other CRPGs. And to that guy I say:

Go fuck yourself even worse

But for the people who wilfully commit to harassing other marginalized people, then I feel as little pity for them as I do for their shepherds, I'll only have one this to say:

Fuck you. Genuinely. And this is me trying my hardest to be polite (which it isn't already).

a small fraction but still some people might not even acknowledge how dangerous this is and just got to commit such vile acts because they were conditioned into such actions, and then once they leave they'll have to grasp with the extent of the harm and danger they've put other people's lives into.+

And continue to profit off their gullable audience littered with boars. What's worse is that shit like this isn't even being reported on a mass scale, which means that this heinous behavior not only is never punished, but is possibly even rewarded. Even worse is the fact that some of these people+

I normally wouldn't publicly speak on anything like this but enough is enough. It's fucking infuriating seeing an army of pestilent bigots hound up on marginalized folks who constantly have to live with a bounty on their head because of manipulative individuals who encourage said harassment+

I don't really post much (if at all) on BlueSky anymore, so this list has long been deprecated and since then I've migrated it to Backloggd itself. (Some entries are still incomplete but I'll update them sooner or later).

Malia Gedde being underdeveloped as a character and the (in my opinion) really dumb Voodoo Hounfour segment, it's very easy to see why Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers is heralded as one of the genre's essentials, and since Jane Jensen's name guarantees greatness, I'm hyped for The Beast Within.

The vibes are delicious! The art style is real charming, the backgrounds are delightful (except for pixelhunting), the character portraits (from interrogation section) are great, the soundtrack breeds extra life to the streets of New Orleans, Tim Curry stars as Gabriel, it's great stuff, really.+

Speaking of investigation, I really enjoy the interrogation mechanic, since it helps flesh out the side characters tremendously, and it also helps in the Agatha Christie-esque atmosphere it excels at (I'm excited to play The Serrated Scalpel at some point because of this). And speaking of which,+
