The gents' outfitters on the left is no longer in Trinity Street. The grey shop frontage in the middle distance is Heffers, a wonderful bookshop: long may it survive. I think this one is sold.

Homophobia killed us then.

It warned of a new disease that was killing gay Americans. A few cases had just been identified in the UK too.
At that time, the disease did not have a name.
We now know it as AIDS.

HIV is a virus, not a limitation.

It stands for Undetectable = Untransmittable.

When a person living with HIV is on effective treatment and their viral load is undetectable, they cannot pass on HIV.

My fluffy white cat Francie curled up in a ball. Placed in the center of the white circle her body forms is a round piece of paper decorated with marker to look like a green human iris. It makes Francie look like a big hairy eyeball.

I don't like to dress cats up in clothes, but for Halloween I do put stealth costumes on Francie when she's sleeping.
