Many Dems believed in nonsense about Hillary!

Obvs, life isn’t fair, politics least of all, but Hillary really was uniquely vulnerable.

One of the reasons Hillary was a weak candidate is there was, in fact, a vast right wing conspiracy out to get her.

Decades of relentless negative coverage worked!

(I can’t read the Vox article, but per the NPR piece, I recalled her use of “deplorable” accurately.)

I strongly agree with every single word of this. Public disorder is toxic to the pro urbanist political project and we must take it seriously.

I agree that approach can’t be the only long term strategy - we ultimately need to encourage fewer people to be shitty or disempower the shitty people.

My point is that many tactics employed to accomplish the later goals are counterproductive. It’s a genuinely hard problem set to solve!

Reduce costs of homebuilding, mostly through the reduction of fees and expensive requirements imposed on home builders.

It’s often very good advice!

Hillary was right that many Trump supporters are “deplorable,” but she never should have said it.

We still have a lot of work to do, but the tide is turning, and the pro-housing forces are winning.
