8 senior pupils represented GHS in the Winter Series of the Falkirk Fitness Competition. This is a gruelling day of workouts! The competition was tough but we are very proud to have a silver medal for both the boys and girls teams, with our other boys team very narrowly missing out on 3rd place.

This week, our pupils turned Maths + Chemistry into an epic adventure with a Rocket Launcher experiment! 🚀
They explored speed, distance, and time, using maths to predict how far their rockets would fly — and had a blast seeing their calculations in action. (1/2)

Fantastic Careers Week events last week... mock interviews, a session by CVS Falkirk and Falkirk Volunteering, and visits to FV College for Construction & Engineering, and Health & Social Care events. We also hosted a “Highlight on Humanities” session showcasing career pathways in social subjects.

Spanish culture unit with S1 and S1 Spanish classes today. We read the Story of Ferdinand the Bull, by Munro Leaf, then found out 3 facts on various topics:- from the bull run, to Don Quixote to Magellan to Spanish influence in Mexico. We used good research skills. A lot of discussion ensued!
