Trust me when I say it is very relevant in todays World/Climate. Shotaro Ishinomori, who created the character of Haikaider, was very aware of rising fascism in the World, and many of his creations are a warning of that, but there still remains hope to change things.

Hakaider is a movie by Keita Amemiya about a once villainous cyborg/android reawakens in a Dystopic post apocalyptic setting. One of the last places not decimated is a place called Jesus Town, which is under a horrific facist government. Said government has complete media control, and its inhabitants seemingly happy at first glance. But there are those who question this government, and Hakaider, for some reason, is called to this setting. The rest of the movie you need to see for yourself.

I have been hearing alot about the merger today. Of how many news organizations will be regime operated, as well as how beloved series will be turned into something completely awful and loathsome. Believe it or not, no spoilers, the movie Hakaider actually examined this. I suggest giving it a watch.
