I have been watching this series for a few weeks, an international cast, focussing on the tensions between Isreal and Iran.
The final episode seems ironic, given recent events.

This is one of those things that is less sexy to talk about but is unequivocally a war crime

Well, letβs see what Bish has to say about that.
Plus: who exactly thinks Standford is leadership material? Bypassing Seymour?
The whole line is bonkersβ¦
Glad you can be there when he comes out of post-op.
Best wishes for a successful outcome β€οΈβπ©Ή
And, related to the story - how does he think he can overrule the national sovereignty of another nation?
The hubris is mind boggling.
Have you missed all his pressers in the past fortnight?
The inept attempt to correct his question time mistakes in Hansard by turning up late on a sitting night to make a statement to a (mostly) empty room?
He has never shown good leadership; & he follows after Adern, who was so much better.
Well, if itβs Bish & Willsβ show, itβs not going to save them at the election polls.

No, itβs not the media; Luxon is doing it all by himself.
Heβs shooting himself in the foot every day or so, wildly ignorant about geopolitics.
Did you think nobody was noticing that?
Oh well, thatβs going to define their campaign strategy - again - attack anyone whoβs gaining in the polls, esp Greens.
Farrar hates it when Labour looks like having enough partners to form a government.
New Zealand isn't the only place learning the hard way that there are real and absolute consequences to handing political power to shitposters and trolls. Disasters don't give the proverbial flying fuck about how dank your memes are. #nzpol

Luxon on LNG: "international commodity prices rise and fall, and you don't change your approach just based on that".
And this guy was in business, you say?
We are going through some challenging times.
The entitled one and the Ferry disaster MP will say its a blip.
It is not.
They dont have a financial background and this is screaming Black Monday 1987 at me from every angle.

The one thing I do not want is more emails, but I would be ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED to get an email because someone wants a copy of something Iβve done and/or to hear someone has read and thought about something Iβve done.

The "market economy" wizards apparently have never heard of an effect called "market clearance" and how cranking up the costs without calculating the "oh-fuck-off" discounted cash flow effect, can leave you with too much stock and not NEARLY enough income

If anyone is friends with any Georgian air traffic controllers, buy them a nice bottle of wine. As guardians of pretty much the only narrow gap still available between Europe and Asia that avoids both Iran, the Gulf, Ukraine and Russia, they are under some substantial pressure.

- the war needs to be ended

So, in launching a huge bombing campaign on Iran they apparently didn't plan for:
- Who takes over;
- Interceptor shortages from sustained drone retaliation;
- How to defend US bases in the region;
- Threats to ships in the Strait of Hormuz; and
- How to evacuate Americans with airspace closed.
Oh goodness ... apparently having our energy needs fulfilled by a source that is highly dependent not just on overseas provision but also on highly contingent trade routes, and pricing from markets sensitive to both, rather than domestic generation of energy, isn't quite the best idea. Who knew?
