Thats what i mean by not directly. They aren't making profit directly by killing us but they are increasing profits by letting us die as collateral damage. Arms manufacturers on the other hand make products with only one purpose

Yep. Just keeping my mouth shut because the colloquial use of "ape" is different than the scientific one. I think the world would be better if we all acknowledged we are animals but I have to remind myself that now is NOT the time to try to make that point

Oh my god i thought you were joking but it's real. They want to turn disabled people into fuel

They do, just not you specifically (at least directly). Arms manufacturing is a massive industry, and government contracts for rebuilding infrastructure after war are highly sought after and very profitable. So the more war, the more contracts

They'd never risk turning us into renewable energy. What would the poor little oil barons do then? They probably want to take us to their private islands and hunt us for sport instead, which would be the second worst thing they use private islands for

If someone's top donor is the NRA they are owned by the NRA. If someone's top donor is AIPAC they are owned by AIPAC. Saying "owned by AIPAC" is not the same as saying "owned by the jews", which would absolutely be offensive. AIPAC is not judaism, it's a pro-war lobby group. Stop conflating them.

Yep, transphobia is taught. The most common reaction I've seen of a trans person coming out to someone who doesn't know what it means is "huh, weird but thats fine" along with various levels of attempts at the correct pronouns, usually with improvement over time. The hatred and fear aren't natural.

Damn really? My NHS surgery will do a blood test if I just ask for it, can you register with a different surgery or ask a different doctor?

I'm so lucky i'm one of the people who does better on a vegan diet (turns out dairy and red meat was the problem all along lol). I'm assuming you've already done blood tests an stuff to see what you're missing?

When was this wonderous time?

I'll stay out of "your business" when your country stops interfering with mine. What do you mean by going full bigot? The people criticizing america's violent foreign policy aren't going to have voted for trump. Criticizing war crimes doesn't mean you support a different war criminal

17.02.2026 23:54 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

They're just so whiny, apparently 🙄

17.02.2026 23:49 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

I don't even live in your country I'm just sick of american politics being everyone else's problem. However I did encourage people to register to vote and vote for harris. Who are the bigots who gave trump what he wants and how am i defending them? By saying drone strikes are bad?

17.02.2026 23:48 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

Who's boot am I already licking? I'm very confused about what your political alignment is and what you think mine is, because you aren't making a whole lot of sense

17.02.2026 23:44 — 👍 3    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

How exactly did I "go bigot" in 2024?

17.02.2026 23:43 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

"Worst president in history ever" never came up and neither did how anyone voted in any trump election. It's crazy to call someone whiny and over privileged while you insist that war crimes shouldn't be criticized as long as the guy who did them isn't that other guy. Do you not recognise the irony?

They also just openly said that terrorism is fine if it's the US doing it. I'm usually pretty open to well-meaning dem voters but now I'm wondering how many become this when the mask slips. It makes me wonder what they actually dislike about republicans considering they have the same beliefs

17.02.2026 19:22 — 👍 2    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

Not everyone is as psycho as you are, some people actually care if they've got a 50% chance of killing hundreds of innocent people. If an iraqi bombed a US building with a 50% chance of george bush being in there, would you think that was fair or are you a hypocrite?

17.02.2026 19:17 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

So you think terrorism is fine as long as it's your side doing it, and you don't have any empathy for people who are being punished for simply living in a different country to you?

17.02.2026 18:32 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

"I think drone striking civilians is bad" "Ok so you want a world without american power"
I mean if thats what you think it would take then sure

17.02.2026 18:26 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

"Yesterday's issue" when we're discussing a past president. Imagine that...
Nobody said it was uniquely american. If someone stabs you but another stabbing happens in a different city are you suddenly fine?

17.02.2026 18:10 — 👍 3    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

Maybe you should check before you slaughter. "Why are you stuck on drones, anyway?" is a crazy thing to ask about the avoidable deaths of hundreds. So when they target american civilians they're terrorists, but also you're ok with your own country using the same moral code? That's not a good look

17.02.2026 18:07 — 👍 2    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

It's not collateral damage if there weren't even enemies in the hospital. And why are you bringing up trump, obviously I hate him but trump and putin commiting worse war crimes doesn't absolve obama of his crimes. Stop with the whataboutism.

17.02.2026 18:00 — 👍 12    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

It is my business because my bitch ass politicians won't stand up to yours and like to help out with the war crimes because of our "special relationship" and I'm sick of it.

17.02.2026 17:56 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

I think the families of the hundreds of civilians he killed with drone strikes probably don't like him much

17.02.2026 17:52 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

Some classics are when obama drone striked a hospital, a wedding, and a funeral. None of which had anyone present but civilians. Do americans really not care what their beloved military does with their tax money?

17.02.2026 17:47 — 👍 4    🔁 1    💬 1    📌 0

No ruler could avoid drone striking a hospital containing only civilians and aid workers? I like obama more than the other presidents usa has had but the bar is on the floor because all of them are war criminals by choice

17.02.2026 17:42 — 👍 9    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

It was the dude's response to "what part does religion play in that". The power of grace working through people is something christians say to refer to god all the time. He also then responded with a bunch of hospitals with religious names. It's very clear what he is saying.

I didn't care about the original headline calling it a blessing but then this guy showed up and said that every medical professional does what they do because they believe in or were guided by HIS god, as if that is the only reason anyone does good things. Seems pretty rude.
