Just because shit looks gold doesn't mean it is gold ... A lot of that crap is plated at best and a lot of it is probably spray paint ...

Saying it ran for 46 "seasons" is kind of bullshit ... It sounds impressive but really doesn't mean shit with a show like that (same with all the Food Network shows that are on "season" 74)

And I will admit I have no idea how to correct things without sounding like a dick ... So this isn't really constructive criticism ... Just my own little scream into the void ...

We should absolutely aim for accuracy in our reflections on the loss ... But it can come across as a little dickish to just "well actually" at people who are maybe overblowing one particular issue because of their own perceptions of the media environment at the time ...

And, like the Liz Cheney stuff it's kind of a matter of degrees. It was great to have here involved in the campaign ... But I think they overused here and ended up alienating some people ... But probably not more than they attracted so on balance it was helpful ... Just not enough ...

Also, there is no one single thing that caused their loss, the "weird" stuff is part of it, but there are lots of other factors that contributed and fixing this one thing wouldn't have changed enough on its own ...

And yes a lot of the reason we think he backed off of it is because it stopped getting the kind of coverage in media that it should have had ...

The word "weird" vs the way he was originally using the "they are weird" theme are different and yes of course he kept using the word, but I do think they moved away from the overall theme ... Like there could have been a great rebuttal to the bullshit "They/them" ad focused on how weird it was ...
