Hiya, friend. It is getting close to being done for this year. The ladies don't seem interested much anymore. This particular rut started around August 28th, and they can run anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks up here. Happy Day!

That is such an excellent analogy, my friend. It is challenging to explain what what this feels like. Pictures can only convey so much. Their presence and energy is healing, and comforting. Living in balance with nature is how were are meant to be. Happy Day!

That's why we call him Mo. From the 3 stooges, Mo used to block the eye poke with his hand. Haha
So we named him Mo, since his horn will block a direct hit. 😀

We have had a total of 4 bulls managing the herd this rut. Mo, was the first one, followed by "Sir Points a lot". There were two others that managed it for a very short time, and now Mo is back at it again. Mo is easily identifiable with the mini horn that covers part of his face. Happy Day!

The crew visited yesterday and ended up staying for a while. Big Boi Mo, managing the ladies. Love the elk magic.

Good Morning, my friend. I am not sure his exact age. The bulls only come to visit me during the rut, and that is anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks, so I don't get to know them as well as I do the cows. The cows stay year round, and I have watched this herd grow since they were little. Happy Day!

I remember, when I moved back state side at 18, and lived with my American grandma for a stint. I would sit every morning in meditation, before I would work out. She would get so upset, claiming I was talking to the devil. Did I mention she was a southern baptist? Sigh. So misguided.
