Save the date, Seattle-area friends! I’m doing a book launch for my new book, and you’re all invited!

The hardcover officially releases on November 25th, but you can get it way sooner if you preorder at Brick&Mortar Books or if you come to the event in-person.

Michelle Jing Chan and I are doing a double story time event this Sunday at Third Place Books, Lake Forest Park, at 11 am.

Every book event is different from the other. These stories are personal to both of us, and we’d love for you to be there with the young people in your lives.

Honored and grateful for this State List recognition. My picture book, Namaste Is A Greeting, illustrated by Sandhya Prabhat, (Candlewick Press, 2022), is included in the California Department of Education’s 2025 Recommended Literature List.

The summer writing labs were a blast with some highly creative kids!The collective learning was inspiring and joyful. I'm already receiving requests for more workshops. I'll be offering these again in the fall break.If you're interested in registering the young people in your life, please reach out.

I worked many jobs in my life, but this is the best one. Two weeks ago, I received this giant-sized card from children at my last school visit for the year. Truly honored. Thank you to the most amazing librarian who went above and beyond to make the visit happen.
