scarlet/violet are the most accessible but my heart will always be with heartgold/soulsilver if you have an emulator/ds
sun/moon are quite fun too. honestly any of the mainline games are fine, theyre all pretty equal experiences but anything before gen 6 (X/Y) will be significantly more challenging

fair enough!! the runtime of the game is about the same as p4g for me (70-80 hours) its got a lot of the same dna too!! the download size is crazy tho i had to uninstall when i was done for my storage lolz

Honestly not sure if its even worth it currently. Theres a handful of games rn and 50% of them suck 50% of them are alright. Just alright.
