Spoke with a Palace mate last week who said the rivalry goes back to Alan Mullery and Big Malc days. Mullery supposedly threw a £5 note on the ground in front of Malc...they did not get on. Like our Don and Clough.

30 years ago, in Short North Columbus OH, I used to drink in a bar with no name over the door. It became known to all as the "Busch Bud Lite Bar" (it just trips off the tongue)....these were the glowing neon lights in the window. A proper dive bar for nighthawks and restaurant staff.

MKSeery has helped out by researching the Kavanaghs on Charlotte Street in the 1911 census, and found: "Looking at 1901 census, James Kavanagh (27) was a hair-dresser on Charlotte St. He wasn't married. He had three sisters Mary (31) Kate (29) and Ellen (17). By 1911, James married and had two daughters Ellen (3) and Martha (1). I suppose it seems more likely that the daughters rather than the sisters became the "Kavanagh Sisters" in 1964?
