Marte is coming off missing a month with a hamstring issue and Lovullo had wanted him to take one of these three games off against the Giants, but Marte wanted to play.

Per Dbacks manager Torey Lovullo, Ketel Marte did not leave today's game with an injury. He was feeling a little stiff in his hip flexor and as a precaution he was removed. Lovullo and Marte both said he would be in the lineup Friday.

Surgery is not required for Dbacks AJ Puk. Will not throw for next 2-3 weeks. Once asymptomatic he’ll start throwing again.

The Dbacks bullpen was shorthanded today. Sounds like Puk, Martinez and Beeks were down after pitching 2 of last 3 games. Shelby Miller would have been used in 9th. Ryan Thompson was emergency option only.
