We're supposed to dip just below freezing tonight, so I covered my tomatoes with a bigass tarp I had lying around...fingers crossed they make it, other than tonight we won't be dipping below freezing again for a week at least

Guess another trip to the hardware store is in order

Dang...ran a little short even with cutting the last quarter-bag or so with a bunch of ash. It's probably solid enough to stay put just fine, but that ledge is gonna bother me if I don't smooth it out, haha

Got a little more splitting and stacking done today before the rain started!

Unfortunately, this one used more concrete than I expected, so now I don't have enough for the last one. But my wrists hurt from all the digging anyways, so I'll just wait until I go into town again and finish the last one when I've picked up another bag.

Ideally, both bays will be full before snow hits the ground next month, but realistically just as long as the first one is full by then I'll be fine to just keep filling the other until I head to my family's for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Neatened up the first bay of the woodshed now that all four of its surrounding posts are firmly seated. I've got a lot of firewood to stock up on before winter @.@

About to engage in my favorite activity again so I can get the new footers poured

Three months later, I FINALLY got the rest of the shed back in one piece and ratcheted up plumb!

So I'm removing the cracked concrete and digging the hole wider and deeper before I pour more, and hopefully that'll prevent that happening again!

All my woodshed posts got pushed into a lean by the glacial action of the 5' accumulation snowstorm we got this past winter, to the point where the concrete pilings cracked and one of the roofs pulled apart from the others completely

Back to my favorite activity: diggin' holes
