Interestingly Lugh is also known interchangeably by his patronymic (Lugh mac Cían) and his matronymic (Lugh mac Eithliu) which is unusual. Most are known only by their patronymic, with their mother's name not directly associated with them (Ailill mac Máta being an exception).

Today's fun fact:
Lugh is known as Samildánach (many skilled) & Lamhfada (long arm). The Lebor Gabala Erenn also calls him Lugh Rindagach (spear-slaughterous) maybe for his skill in battle or a reference to his possession of an incomparable spear that is one of the treasures of the Tuatha Dé.
