A post in r/cozyfantasy titled "Miss Percy's Pocket Guide to the Care and Feeding of British Dragons is my soul book!" with the text below of: First of all, I cannot understand why Quenby Olson isn't more famous. She's an amazing writer! I am almost halfway through the book and I have been thoroughly entertained and enchanted since page one. I have zero criticisms of this book. It's like it was written for me! Most here have probably read it, but I cannot praise what I've read so far highly enough! I've laughed out loud numerous times and have had a smile on my face for most of it. I think it is especially because Miss Percy is "of a certain age" (as am I) and so I identify with her plight in general. I just cannot get over how much I love the writing and voice. I'm going to read some of Quenby Olson's Regency romances because I like her writing so much. Anyway, {Miss Percy's Pocket Guide (to the Care and Feeding of British Dragons) by Quenby Olson} Not sure if I did that right, but I tried.

I need you to know that one of the best things you can do for an author you love is to talk about their books.

I've been working on making dragon scale gloves where the scales go past the thumb hole and down into the wrist and beyond, and I think I've finally got the pattern down pat.

One more pair after these, and I think I'll trust myself to write the pattern down.

Blood-pooled eyes gaze at me, above a noseless face and a mouth still shaped by the same wretched, silent scream. Ruined clothes and skin hang from his limbs in shreds. Limbs that reach towards me, fingers of bone and naked sinew spreading apart as though to grasp me by the throat and crush the life from my lungs before I can think to call out for help.

Anyway, I'm nearly 60k through my next book (NO, not the cozy horror best friends fighting vampires one, that's still on submission) and this one is not cozy at all. Sorry, people.

Anyway, what have I been up to? Writing (I'll update soon!), baking, teaching kids, ballet (I WAS IN THE NUTCRACKER!), crocheting, reading, etc.

And it snowed this weekend and I made a cardigan.

Anytime I panic that I'm not being creative enough with my marketing or spending enough time on it, I remember that these are the kind of posts that get the most sales and traction for me, and they take about 0.3 seconds of thought before I post them.

For the first time in over a year, we are completely paid up and now paid ahead for their dance lessons and I don't even know how to wrap my brain around that.

Just found out that both my girls won a teacher-nominated dance scholarship that will pay for their first few months of ballet tuition this fall and I am in tears.
