Had an excellent time at Barnes & Noble Southpointe in #LNK talking horror, writing, our anti-AI sentiments. They are such wonderful hosts and local authors are very fortunate to have one of our B&N locations not only support, but openly advocate for us. Shout-out to Ally. You're gem and a real one.

Why do people post screenshots of AI answers in the context of providing a "source" for their information? AI is not credible and never has been. It is widely known to be unreliable for this purpose (and most purposes, honestly).

This is why you shouldn't get your news from AI.

It's already getting to be that time of year. I've got a handful of stories eligible for awards this year. I appreciate any consideration.

Many full time creatives have β€œinvisible safety nets” like bread-winning partners, trust funds, external support, etc. No shame on anyone, but it creates a false vision of success. The cost of going to cons alone on top of hoping to eat as a freelancer are untenable, IMO.

for an extended Halloween treat, you should read an issue of Die Laughing & Parker M. O’Neill's sick new flash in FFO (and my pseudo-haunted, needle-filled flash piece in Nightmare, if you feel inclined!)

They couldn't have said it better. From an experimental CYOA style black metal book, a cyberpunk-scuzz-noir collection, a dude shitting snakes...body horror peewee football, surreal/weird Nic Cage...it's always been about doing my own shit & eternal love to everyone letting me get away with it πŸ’šπŸ’€πŸ€˜

My girlfriend got back into Tamagotchis for a brief moment, but forgetting these little guys can make you legit anxious.

I think the new ones are more forgiving in that regard actually, but the originals were hardcore about letting you know the creature died due to your negligence.
