Tonight is my last dose of antibiotics for mastitis round 2

Hoping to be off of them for more than a week this time!

Think my two month old has enough headbands?

I could not get my baby to latch today when we were away from home

I didn’t think to bring a bottle or my pump

My SIL had both and let me use them

She truly saved the day

It’s March, which means real baseball is played this month!

We made it

My baby did not fall asleep until I finished a rendition of “Part of That World” from Little Mermaid and I think that’s beautiful

Yes my mom’s been making them for me

(They’re also delicious)

I want to say the lactation cookies are placebo, but I don’t think they are

Trying to teach my baby to sleep without being swaddled and so far she’s not a fan!

Wild how much my baby likes the rocking chair

Rocking in my arms doesn’t even come close

The thing they don’t tell you about babies is they also make good weights

She started crying at the end of my workout so I ditched the weights, picked up the baby, and finished with baby-weight squats

I am certain my uncle was with me that day

Now that my baby is named after him, we have some more happy when we think about him. I wish he were here to meet my baby instead of her being named for him, but she’ll learn about him as she gets older 💕

My uncle died 8 years ago today

7 years ago today, I had a med school exam. I was a mess. I didn’t sleep, I cried all morning. Yes, I studied but I wasn’t in the mental head space to take that test

I got 100% on it

I slept from 7:40-midnight and then 1am-5:30

Woke up a few times to fix her owlet

Most I’ve slept in monthssss

My baby just went over 6 hours between feeds and only woke up bc I woke her bc I felt like I was gonna explode

Maybe I have a good sleeper 👀

And just got this message from one of my Attendings

I love clinic

This post literally didn’t go through until I turned off WiFi

Tell me you have optimum WiFi without telling me you have optimum WiFi

You have to turn off the WiFi to post on the internet

Tomorrow I’m back to clinic for the first time since having the baby

The nurse and MA there were like the first two people at work I told I was pregnant

We did bump checks every 5 weeks when I was back

I can’t wait to go tomorrow 🥰

We got another 3 inches but now it’s 40 degrees 🤷‍♀️

It’s snowing AGAIN?!

Worked the hardest shift of PGY3 last night at 2 months postpartum but got a star card (basically a shoutout) from one of the nurses 🥺 and she doesn’t even know I just had a baby!

Female Attendings w/ kids really have been irreplaceable

Mine tonight said “biological imperatives don’t stop for residency” and made sure I pumped

TIL it’s HYROX not HYDROX

Using frozen breast milk for the first time tonight

I def took out too much and will have to toss some but I’m too nervous she won’t have enough 😂

Got 2 hours. Let’s see if it’s enough!

Could’ve slept more but had to feed the baby

I really appreciate the lactation pods around the hospital

However, idk whose idea it was to put one directly across from one of the entrances

That pod is frigid

I’ve been struggling to sleep during the day

I hope I can get a few hours in between feeding the baby before my night shift tonight

I can’t believe I’m gonna work a night shift at 2 months postpartum
