years ago I used to swim at the AIS in Canberra, when our Olympic swimmers were the best of the best (still are), I saw them all - this morning at the pool, there was a young woman a couple of lanes away, swimming just like that, effortless, elegant, laps at 35-40 secs, poetry in motion...had to be.

thing is with all these modern war films like this, hurt locker, zero dark thirty etc, they all happened when I was a news producing journalist, and they throw up a lot of questions about the politics of warfare and the humanity of individuals..they fascinate me..

we have blue swimmer crabs, they are more or less the same as your blue crabs....fabulous eating.

and we don't have crabs quite like those but we do have swimmer and mud crabs which I suspect are not dissimilar

we have nothing like TG, so for us it is just Christmas, which probably equates to thanksgiving more than anything, big family event, silly jumpers, drunk uncles stealing money from relative's wallets, etc.

you're as confused as I am, I've actually cooked Turkey the same way as your husband, it is brilliant, these days for Christmas lunch, I'll order a load of seafood, lobsters, prawns, bugs (shallow water butterfly lobsters) and grill some fish...so much easier...

just by the way I've resumed watching Blackhawk Down, bloody hell, bit of a star studded cast...

if you scroll down she has a recipe for dry brining the bird as well, we often do Turkey for Christmas, which is nuts because it is the middle of the Australian summer....I'd give this recipe a go on a slow day in January with a free range chicken maybe :)
