There is a Star Wars theatrical film that will be out in just seven months, that has a teaser trailer out, and I truly had no idea.

(And, the teaser makes it seem like another one of their disposable streaming shows.)

Weird how nonexistent it all feels to me now. Alas.

When I drew this, I deliberately went against the conventions of mainstream political cartooning - the character with my views is fat and balding, the antagonists are conventionally attractive.

So I was fascinated to read this response - a reader literally couldn't understand the comic at first.

We’ve lost Drew Struzan. A modern master, who by all accounts was a humble, sweet, loving, dedicated man. His work influenced culture itself, & we’ll be seeing that influence until the end of the modern world. What a legacy. What a body of work. May he rest well, & may his memory be a blessing.

I obviously like her work a lot, but even by her normal standards, my gosh is this one impressive to me.

I don’t say this ‘cause I think Krakoa was “bad” (HoXPoX rules!), or because I have anything positive to say about how “From the Ashes” & beyond has played out.

But, Krakoa was clearly a story that needed a beginning, middle, & end. And the story became a victim of its own initial success.

A lot of fans who miss Krakoa and want to go back… are just the new generation of people with 90s nostalgia, or Claremont/Byrne nostalgia, etc. If anything, it should’ve ended sooner.

Apparently the Boom! Studios panel at NYCC announced a Larry Hama comic on the way called The Center Holds.

But, I only knew about it because someone on a Discord server I’m on posted about it, and a mention is buried in Boom!’s Instagram stories.
