Alien is terrifying on all scales. On the most personal, another organism is taking control of your body and using you. It is the most close that torment could be, physically inside of you. And once out, it is essentially a toxin to all life. Every aspect of its biology is designed to immediately kill and consume. But even this horror is just a brief snapshot of a gaping chasm. A creature that is just a momentary slice of the universal ecosystem. We reached just high enough to shine a light, and the first thing we saw was nothing but hate and teeth. What else could be out there? Have we gone too far?
