He couldn't help but notice the other's confusion of his surroundings.

"What? You don't visit NC often or somethin'?"

"Respect ain't that common for someone like me, so I 'preciate it."

A slight smirk crossed his lips at the compliment.

"Yeah, military. My mom klept it off a dead soldier."

"Well, most of my stuff is internal, but I also got my dead choom's arms installed."

He shrugged before adjusting his jacket.

"Plus, you ain't gonna find anything like what I just showed you anywhere else. It's military-grade, after all.

"Speaking to myself?"

He decided to ignore his words before activating his Sandevistan. Soon enough, time would be slowed for the boy, and he then made his way around the Arrancar before deactivating the sandy.

"Happy? Or do ya got any more gonked requests?"

"Yeah? And you aren't?"

He was well aware of the open area they occupied.

"What about it? You prefer somewhere more private or somethin' if we're gonna keep talkin'?"

"Okay, okay. I'll give ya an answer."

His hand gripped his gun as he watched the other grab the hilt of his sword.

"I have something called cyberware, I'm like part robot."

"What's special about me?"

He thought for a moment, contemplating whether or not he should tell this guy.

"Well, I guess you could say that I'm built different."

He decided to be vague but honest with his answer.

"Spiritual energy? Is that like something only people like you have?"

Genuine confusion crossed his face at the mention of such a thing.

"You sayin' I'm talkin' to ghosts? Shit, dawg. I can't I haven't heard about stuff like that happenin' to chooms.. but it always weirded me out."

A sigh followed his words as his posture stiffened as the Arrancar met his eyes.

Thinking... Thinking...

"Nah, it don't ring any bells. Speaking of which, how the hell are ya even alive with that hole right there?"

A genuine question from the young merc as he stared up at the other.

Having finally composed himself, he'd examine the other with his cyber optics.

"Nah, is that like some kinda merc or somethin'?"

His eyes widened out of sheer surprise and shock.

"Somethin' with me!? Somethin' with you, choom! The fuck was that?"

"Yeah? Well, I ain't lookin' trouble either."

He thought for a moment before speaking.

"You got a strange name if ya ask me. I'm David Martinez, not like I give a shit if you remember it or not."

"That would be if you could even touch me."

He chuckled while one of his legs bounced below him.

"Who even are you?"

He asked before slowly reaching for the iron he kept on him just as a precaution.

Cyber optics would widen at the sight before clearing his throat to speak.

"You... you good, dawg?"

He questioned as he stuffed his hands into his EMT jacket pockets.

He couldn't help but think about who this guy might be. As an eyebrow raised, he slowly revved his sandevistan out of caution.

The thought crossed his mind as he examined the other's appearance.

The merc had been walking through NC before sensing a pair of eyes land on him. This would cause him to turn and look for the source of this feeling.

It wasn't out of the ordinary for the runner to get such a feeling.
