Years scanning Hebridean seas with the dream of spotting one of these magical seabirds became a reality this autumn with a huge influx! A bird with less than five records in Mull waters and on one 6 hour pelagic we recorded c6000 in waters to the west π€―

Latest paper from our work on satellite-tagged golden eagles in Scotland, showing considerable intra-regional variation of home range sizes. Also, tiny ranges in Outer Hebrides (closed sub-pop) vs large in NE Highlands (many unoccupied territories due to persecution). www.mdpi.com/1424-2818/16...
