I really don’t like this rhetoric on social media about how if we are not constantly talking about the world being on fire it automatically means that we just don’t care. most of us do care deeply, we are just beyond exhausted.

taking care of ourselves via mutual aid, community, etc all we can do.

hot take : i think honestly its because we already have to deal with inflation, our shitheel of a president failing us, the rise of fascism, etc. so we are left exhausted just trying to survive the next day. its not like we dont care, we just are essentially helpless in what to do about this war.

CPTSD dissociation symptoms ive noticed during emotional flashbacks :

- blurry, fish-eyed lens vision
- not recognizing yourself in the mirror
- huge lapses in memory (months or years can be forgotten during episodes)
- loss of skills
- intense emotions without any visual flashbacks
