I heard stories of people who've fed crows, and been given gifts in return. It sounded charming, so I began doing that.
Then, one night, there was a rapping on my bedroom window. I stumbled up and opened.
A crow flew in and spoke: "They're coming for you. You must flee."
I only just made it out.
A goat who lives behind my house, who is angling her neck awkwardly in a rather pathetic and desperate attempt to see my television set and catch the finale of season 7 of The Gilmore Girls.

A collection of photographs of excellent goats I have met during walks in the British countryside.

I don't believe in Climate Change, I don't need to, it's a scientific fact.
Populist politicians in service of unfettered capitalism are going to sink us all.
So fucking depressing.
(and yet I still love the idea of a tram)

As a citizen of Edinburgh; trams are fine, but took forever to install, cost billions, get stuck in traffic, and after ten years still only do one route.
I'd much rather see the money go to having properly segregated bus lanes, and spend the other 1.9BN on active travel infrastructure.
Cracking ride yesterday - short and sweet - only one honking dickhead - a good one!

27.01.2026 00:05 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Badgers make a wonderful contribution to the magical diversity of the British countryside Badgers are very unfussy eaters (worms, peanuts, hedgehogs, ratatouille) and hens great to have over for tea No badger has voted Tory since the 1950s All badgers enjoy folk music, especially that made between 1968 and 1975. Badgers don't run like other four-legged wild animals. They run the way a garish 1960s fur footstool would run if it had just realised it had the power of functioning limbs. Badgers never moan when their mascara runs, as they know nobody will notice. Badgers never part-read pieces of writing online then screenshot out-of-context segments from them in a wilful attempt to mislead their fanbase
6. Some more reasons, which I collected on this piece of paper in 2015, and remain possibly even more relevant in the frightening new world of 2026.
