I want systemic change, they don’t. If they represent me I want them to represent my views. My views are attacked by leadership of the party on my side constantly. Why do they do that? Why shouldn’t they try to represent people

Decades now. It has failed. It is long past time for the Democratic Party to change course. That is what we are trying to do.

The status quo has failed. We need people to understand this and join us to push for change. The Democratic Party is resisting that change.

Where we disagree is on what democratic politicians are, what they do and why.

That is worth talking about. We need to come together and change the Democratic Party or the republicans will continue to thrive. But we can’t beat the republicans following the path those in power have laid out for

Hard agree. Coalition building happens in the 🇺🇸 BEFORE the election.

A coalition is first and foremost collaborative not transactional.

To be in the coalition you have to say what YOU bring to the group —not hold the group hostage to what you want.

And you wonder why people reject Progressivism. AOC's voting record in relation to Progressive Bills is spotty at best, and Bernie Sanders' voting record is shitty. You could overlook their voting records if they passed Bills that support progressive causes but they don't pass Bills.

Progressives do not understand representational politics, or how to build coalitions. The more I observe progressives, the more I realize some of you confuse populism with progressivism. The two most high profile Progressives are two of the least productive legislators.

This is also why I hate the labels of leftist or liberal being associated with people or ideals that are human and human rights first. Those are not debatable subjects. Don’t call me liberal or a leftist because I’m anti genocide and that’s a hard line for me. Why tf isn’t it for you?

Also, damn do folks hate people for being right ahead of time. Cause if any of those folks calling us radical paid attention to WHY we said to do these things they'd realize it's for the exact issues we're facing right now.
