It’s a solid take, inspired by their philosophies, namely TESCREAL "transhumanism, Extropianism, singularitarianism, cosmism, Rationalism, Effective Altruism, and longtermism" which means they’re quite happy threatening total human extinction like a bunch of Disney villains.
