31.10.2023 03:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ah! Drizzle today but this evening it was noticeably frosty & the deck slick! Maybe a proper frost in the making. Then I can start lifting bulbs & packing away the too many potsπ±Garlicβs planted but got more spring bulbs to plantπ€¦π½ββοΈneed plants anonymous! Is yours all done? Thanks! You too!π€

30.10.2023 21:58 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Ahh seems the same here - not quite heat wave territory but 22C in late October!!! Ah yes they do suffer from mildew often by this time! Some of mine were more resistant- I should make note for next year! Did you find that too?
26.10.2023 15:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Itβs a drizzly , gloomy looking day but the fall colours look so pretty even on a gloomy morning βΊοΈ So fortunate to have 4 distinct seasons. Such charm in them all! Have a lovely day π±
26.10.2023 15:31 β π 14 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Worth persevering, these are all from seed.
Pictures show a selection of open flowered dahlias in shades from pale pink through cerise to poppy red on foliage lime green to almost purple.
Theyβre all so beautiful! I love the dark foliage- which is part of the reason I hunted down the seeds last year. Iβm hopeful that planting tubers next yr (from this years seed grown ones) in richer soil may result in blooms. They should have stored up some energy, given it wasnβt used up to make πΊ
26.10.2023 15:29 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I love marigolds! I just visited them- donβt look so hot on this soggy morning. Been on the fence about pulling them. Temps are set to dip below freezing here by early next week, so it may be time π€·π½ββοΈ

26.10.2023 15:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wish you luck Anne! Iβm very curious to find out. I have an anemone in couple places in the garden and would love more of them- from seed would be so fun! Thank you!

I took a week away at the end of Sep. & itβs stalled my momentum but thatβs ok. Iβm hunting down seeds now π !hereβs my morning surprise!! Sweet peas! Hah! So fun

26.10.2023 14:37 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Anne, I purchased the Bishopβs children dahlia seeds from a local gardener in Toronto- last year. This dahlia did not bloom but that could be because of my mistake (seeds for other dahlias purchased from William Dam seeds & OSC did bloom). www.hanaearthgardens.ca/about
26.10.2023 14:36 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I purchased some last year to grow this spring but I only host leafy growth. I think my Solow as less than optimal but it did the same in pots too. Iβll try them again next year!
