Alex shouts from the ocean, "Even a weakling like you can throw farther than that!" Emma glares at her over her shoulder. Alex changes her tune, "Erm... I mean, you can do it!" Matt reaches into the cooler for another can and says, "Need a stronger throw." He winds up a huge throw. It slips out of his hand and he mumbles, "oh no." The can flies over Alex's head as she comments, "a little high for me." Jacob steps into frame, asking, "what are you talking about?" The can then slams into he shoulder with a THUNK. He floats in the water as everyone shouts, "JACOB!"

Alex shouts, "Matt! Can you get me a drink?" From the beach, a silhouetted Matt answers, "get it yourself." Jacob and Emma play with their ball in the water while Alex responds, "I don't wanna. I just got used to the water. Just toss one to me!" Matt pulls a can from the cooler. He throws one with a huge swing and says, "Fine. Catch." The can spins in the air. It then lands a few feet in front of Matt, very far from Alex. Alex waits a moment and then says, "try again."

Matt looks down at his phone. He glances up into the distance. In the water, Emma waves her arm shouting, "I'm open!" Jacob walks farther away with a ball in his hands, looking towards Emma with a smile. Alex stands between them ready to intercept any throw. Next, Jacob and Alex are splashing each. Emma smiles as she shields her face and carries the ball. Matt continues to look at them. He then returns to looking at his phone, slightly sadder than he was before.

Emma, Alex, and Jacob stand in the ocean as Matt looks on. Jacob shouts, "Come on Matt! The water is gr-gr-great!" Matt sits down on the beach and says, "I'm good." The other three boo him. Matt stands up and the other three cheer. He grabs something from his pants as the cheering stops. He sits back down, now using his phone, as the three boo him again.

Text that says, "The story continues..." above the chibi versions of Emma, Jacob, Matt, and Alex walking.

Matt holds up his score with the original number scratched out and a 2 being written next to it. Alex grabs Matt by the collar and shouts, "2?! I did NOT buy a new swimsuit to get the lowest score!" Jacob says, "Alex it's not that serious." Alex smirks and says, "heh. Good thing we saved the best for last." Matt looks at her annoyed and says, "huh? But I didn't bring one." Jacob holds up a bag and asks, "why do you think we stopped at the store?" Matt is revealed with swim trunks covered in little ducks. He gets perfect 10 scores from all his friends. Alex says, "oh it looks great on you!" Jacob comments, "it was the only one in your size."

Matt storms off the beach saying, "I'm gonna find a new swimsuit on the boardwalk." Emma removes he hoodie and says, "maybe we're teasing Matt too much." Alex applies some sunscreen and exclaims, "but that's the fun part." Emma crosses her arms and responds, "I'm serious. You want HIM to have fun, right?" Alex goes, "yeah..." Emma points a finger at her and says, "then you gotta start being nicer!" Alex pause for a moment and we can see the image of Matt standing on the bridge behind her. She shouts, "fine!" and Emma says surprised, "huh, that was surprisingly easy."

Someone shouts, "okay, I found something!" Emma and Alex turn around saying, "already?" We see a skull engulfed in flames. Matt is revealed to have swim trunks with flames and a skull printed on them. He says, "much better." Alex holds back her laughter. As she struggles, Emma points at her and yells, "No! Stop! You promised!" Matt asks, "What? You got something to say?"

A bag is unzipped to reveal a red ball. Alex says, "anyway... time to swim!" Alex, Emma, and Jacob all look into the distance. Matt looks at them slightly farther away. A foot splashes into the water. Alex and Emma walk through shivering and Alex comments, "ah! Water's a little chilly." Jacob pushes up his glasses and says, "fools. Walking slow makes you feel the cold LONGER as it takes more time to acclimate! The CORRECT method is obvious!" Jacob then dives into the water with a massive sploosh while Alex and Emma look on. Jacob surfaces and shouts, "okay no this is way worse!"

Alex and Matt stand next to a cage filled with plastic balls. Alex exclaims, "I think we need a ball!" She reaches between the bars and tries to force a ball out. Matt, who is still tied up and has tape over his mouth, mumbles "Mmh, rmph." Alex responds as if she understood him saying, "Yeah but I want the red one." She yanks the ball and the bars break, pouring balls all over the floor. Matt and Alex, stare at the mess. Alex shoves the ball into Matt's chest and yells, "Matt! Look what you did!" Since Matt is tied up, the ball simply falls to the floor as Alex dashes away. We then see both Alex and Matt tied up in the car. Jacob drives saying, "I can't take you two anywhere."

A car beeps as it locks. Matt, Emma, Jacob, and Alex walk along a side walk. The beach is visible as you can hear the whoosh of the ocean. The four stare off into the horizon as Alex exclaims, "we're here!"

Matt, Jacob, and Emma start setting up their area on the beach. Alex announces, "Alright everyone! It's time for swimsuits! Matt was so excited that he talked about it the whole car ride." Matt butts in saying, "No I didn't. I couldn't physically talk for most of that ride." Alex continues, "so let's make it a contest and take turns showing off! Emma you're up first!" Emma is shocked and embarrassed. She asks, "why ME first?!" Alex says, "Wouldn't you rather get it out of the way now?" Emma looks down, more and more embarrassed.

Emma removes her coat to reveal her one piece swimsuit. She says, "fine." Alex, Jacob, and Matt all hold up score cards with high scores. Alex says, "ooooo, that gets a 10 just for cuteness!" Jacob says, "Very pretty!" Matt blushes silently. Emma closes her jacket and pulls the hoodie stings shut saying, "okay that's enough staring." Jacob shows off his swim trunks, saying, "sorry I didn't brink anything special..." The other three hold up modest positive scores and Alex says, "the necklace is a nice touch." Jacob goes, "well actually!" and starts spouting lore about the necklace. Alex says, I'm sorry I brought it up." Alex shows off he bikini and says, "whatcha think?" Jacob and Emma give her high scores. Jacob says, "it's very you!" Matt is still writing his score when Alex teases, "come on Matt, I know you waited the whole car ride for mine!"

A comic panel fades in on a exterior skyscraper. Alex announces, "Who's ready for the beach?" Jacob and Emma raise their hands and shout, "I am!" Alex turns to them and says, "Wait. Something is missing." Jacob and Emma look at the door next to them. It's labeled "Matt, do not enter, especially Alex." Matt is then being dragged out of his room by Alex as Matt yells, "NO NO NO! I DON'T WANNA! YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!" Matt is then sitting in a car, tied up with rope. He begrudgingly remarks, "okay, maybe you can."

Alex turns around in the front seat and says, "Come on, why don't you like the beach?" Matt responds, "I don't like being hot and sweaty. I don't like public places. I don't like sand and it gets everywhere!" Alex rebuts, "But the water is nice!" Matt replies, "It'd be nicer if I knew how to swim." He turns his gaze to his side and says, "Wait a minute." Looking at Emma sitting next to him, he asks, "Why are you going? You'll be surrounded by people. Emma says, "I actually really like the beach. My feet on the sand. The sound of the waves. If strangers don't talk to me, it's fun."

Matt looks at Emma and says, "I've been betrayed in my hour of need." Jacob drives the car and remarks, "So what? You gonna wait in the car the whole trip?" Matt says, "I'm thinking about it." Alex smirks and comments, "Okay, but consider this. You get to see girls in CUTE swimsuits!" Matt sits there quietly. He glances at Emma, then says, "Fine, I'll go." Alex gloats by saying, "Heh, boys are so simple."

Jacob, Emma, and Alex walk through the grocery store. Matt walks alongside them while still tied up with rope. Jacob says, "Time to get some snacks for the beach!" Matt asks, "Since I agreed to come along, can you untie me?" Jacob responds, "I'm not convinced. You might still run." Matt says, "But I can't help you shop." Jacob says, "Just tell me and I'll grab it." Matt walks along and says, "just tell ya, huh? Chips?" Jacob grabs a bag of chips and says, "sure!" Matt then says, "Pretzels. Peanut butter. Dish soap." Jacob looks on confused and goes, "uhh..." Matt then proceeds read off every item in the entire store, from toothpaste to kitty litter. Jacob says, "are you just listing everything here?" He grabs a roll of tape and remarks, "want to add tape to your list?" Matt is then shown with duct tape over his mouth with "ta-da" text around him.

Jacob is cooking on the grill as fireworks explode in the background. He says, "Dad! We need more buns!" Emma laughs while she plays Helldivers on the computer, fireworks can be seen outside her window. Alex dances surrounded by people as the celebrate the Fourth of July. Again, fireworks can be seen going off behind her. She pauses and removes her sunglasses. A lone figure can be spotted on the bridge. A hand is on the guardrail as they look at the crowd below. Matt is looking down at the crowd, pensively, while wind blows behind him.

Matt walks away as fireworks explode on the horizon. Alex puts her hand to her chin, thinking, as she watches him walk.
