I can only guess the を was misheard as a は before official lyrics maybe. but yeah after noticing this and the past tense, that's when I also really started paying attention. and while my reading is heavily Mafuyu focused, honestly a lot of the song can apply to a lot of aspects of all niigo :')

ANYWAY those are my thoughts. I'm curious to see what other people think too though, and if you've read this far thanks so much for indulging me haha

"when [my mother and I] faced each other, I realized my own tears. In their remnants, I understood how powerless we are. But the light shined at 25:00 while I couldn't sleep, so that I wouldn't lose sight them." So how I read it, in this way these two stanzas encompass Mafuyu's whole journey so far.

The 2nd stanza after the rap is the 2nd instance of the "shined" past-tense. For the specific life moment corresponding to this, I think it's really revealing if you really re-interpret the stanza. The translation is fine, but in my opinion, it's also possible to read that stanza the following way:

So merging back to the previous thing, the stanza after the rap would mean something like "A light mixed us together while we were depressed. Why us, who are so weak? It's so that we may meet each other. A light shined at 25:00 while we couldn't sleep."

To me, past-tense means that it refers to specific moments in which N25 was a light in Mafuyu's life. The line before the first instance of "shined" past-tense says "so that we may meet each other" Mafuyu and N25 met for the first time (perhaps even specifically the first time through the SEKAI).

The next thing concerns two instances of the line "it shines, it shines, sleepless 25:00". Two instances after the rap, "shine" is actually in the past-tense (光った VS 光って). Additionally, "sleepless" everywhere else was 眠らない (do not sleep) but for these two instances it becomes 眠れない (unable to sleep).

First is the line right after the rap section. Instead of "we mixed the light" it should read "the light mixed us together". The "light" in this song that "shines [while we are] sleepless [at] 25:00" is the act of making music together. This is related to the next thing I wanna talk about.

OKAY.... I've been listening to Soko ni Aru Hikari a LOT and there are just few lyrics that at least the English translation on the wikia doesn't really quite capture. I don't know if anyone's already talked about it, but I've been thinking a lot about it and I just want to yap and give my thoughts
