I admittedly don't stay out late in Philly as much as I did when I was in NY, but my brain is so used to bars closing at 4am that Barcade being completly empty at 1am feels so weird to me

Fully Completely by The Tragically Hip

Happy 33 years to the GOAT

while not my fav record of theirs, Fully Completely is the eternal entry point for The Tragically Hip imo. Lyrically it's their most Canadian and musically it's where they crossed the border (lol) from bar rock to something new and uniquely The Hip

my initial reactions:
- Progressive scaling (enemies get harder as you find progression items) kind of doesn't make sense. I want to try shuffling chapter difficulty instead next time
- There are item locations I def missed in the vanilla game
- Having played this game hundreds of times really helps

finished my first Paper Mario Rando! After trying and not really committing a few times, I wanted to see a run thru to the end. I absolutely wanna do it again, it's such a fun way to replay the game.

grinding Star Waspir in UFO 50 is taking such a toll that I have to replay Campanella after any Star Waspir session to remind myself I do actually enjoy UFO 50. And I've been getting really good at Campanella

- filled out my AGDQ 2026 volunteer application
- got my MAGFest badge and filled out a magFAST volunteer interest form

Really bummed I'll be cutting GDQ short this year to get to MAGFest on time but I'm very excited for what will be a super busy week in early January
