I did use Instagram for a while, but the people on there are... pretty difficult to deal with sometimes, especially as a queer creator.
And their policy on AI didn't help either...

So I only use Bluesky now, which I think is best for my mental health.

I was yearning for the warmth of summer. So I drew something that reminds me of the hot season: cherries!

I wanted to add a little bit of a background this time, so I added a branch the cherries are growing from.

My #PixelArt is slowly making progress, I think!

I usually draw with a small drawing tablet. In some cases I also prefer just using my mouse.

Regarding software, I almost exclusively use Aseprite on my PC.

At the moment, I am practicing to do 16x16, but my personal favourite resolution is 32x32 so far.

Thank you! The palette I use for most of my stuff is Resurrect 64, from Lospec.

And yeah, it's pretty hard to get details across at such a small size... But I hope that restriction will help me learn too!

For today, I tried to make a cat and a dog! I didn't manage to fit any whiskers on the kitty, since I wanted to limit myself to a 16x16 resolution. But I think it is still recognizable enough. But I definitely need a lot more practice still...

It took me way too long to get this to look right, so that's the only thing I managed to make. Even tho I am still not really happy with it. But I guess days like that are part of being an artist!
