Tonight is the night where I constantly refresh my phone to see whether our voters approved the school budget.

Imagine if corporations were held to this standard. Or if we could vote more directly on where our tax dollars went federally.

Instead, it’s us public school workers crossing our fingers.

The Trump Administration Can’t Kill Black History Month We don’t need permission from the government to commemorate a complex past.

Last week, my mother took me and my kids to see the school where, 60 years ago, she was among the first wave of Black students to integrate a previously all-White school. We wanted to remind my kids that Black history is not just famous people in textbooks, it is often the people right next to you.

Moms for Liberty ceremony

Moms For Liberty named RJ May the South Carolina Legislator of the Year for 2023 for his efforts to protect children from the evils of the LGBTQ community.

He was just sentenced to 17.5 years in federal prison followed by 30 years of supervised probation for distributing child pornography.

The problem is many of us don't see a lack of racism as an access need for Black people.

i've decided not to listen to the audio of a teacher reporting a kindergartender because frankly I don't want to become the person that that event would turn me into. but one thing I hope we are collectively coming to grips with is what it meant that we have lived among such people this whole time

I need people to understand that "AI" used in moderation isn't necessarily the "AI" of ChatGPT + friends or synthetic text extruding machines, or LLMs. There's stuff lumped under "AI", as the term is a marketing term, that is actually useful and important for flagging stuff on social media.
