However, in an addition to this, we will also be identifying whether these drugs impact how well a cyclist can control their bike (and therefore pose a risk to both the cyclist and their competitors). Weโre using a very cool methodological set-up for this, which weโre very excited about.

Weโre almost ready to click โgoโ on our recent World Anti-Doping Agency funded research programme. This project is a follow-on from our previous work on tramadol, but in the current project we will be looking at tapentadol and dihydrocodeine โ both are drugs currently on WADAโs Monitoring Programme.
