Why did you choose these organizations? I am not a Black woman. But thanks in part to Black women, I know that my freedom is linked to the freedom of everyone else and I know that solidarity is the key ingredient to our survival during these times. It is important to recognize that Black women, particularly in the South, have been on the front lines of the fight for justice since the beginning. I’m not supporting these groups to be a hero or a savior. I know that the same systems that oppress Black women also harm me in different ways.
