Writing Fates is now up to date! So much has changed since Zelle and Somchai's first moonlit date 🌜

The night ended at Somchai's apartment with only the sounds of quiet intimacy keeping the reality that when the sun rose, she'd once again be trapped in a realm not her own.

The night passes with warmth. They stargaze, cuddle, dance, laugh, and live in the moment.

He smiled at her, smirked before closing the distance. And like every time before, her body naturally gave in to his whims. The kiss was fruitful, sealed by weeks of yearning and worry and promises of a peaceful future. If he was her card to play against the king, maybe she could make it through.

She leisurely wrapped around him again, shaking her head at him.

"You are an utterly spoiled-rotten man to speak so deeply," she laughed.

"Only because I fell in love with a very interesting girl, Miss Journalist."

"Oh haha. Did the ink infect your brain to bring that name back?"

Somchai pulled her tighter against him. His breath catching her lips as he spoke seriously.

"If they hurt you, I will make sure they regret it."

"Somchai, you're a human," she argued but his grip tightened.

"Devotion goes beyond human or supernatural limitation. And I'm utterly smitten with you."

His arms wrap around her waist and hers around his neck as he uttered, "Have they harmed you?"

"Not exactly... but they have threatened it. They say my fate is sealed. I can't go back to being a human."

Somchai laughs.

"Fate huh? You've never liked that word."

"You know me too well."

She looked him in the face studying every line before her eyes looked away at his questions.

Z: I haven't changed. I was taught how to conceal them. I wanted to see you... see me so I disguised myself and came here. Things are getting too serious there and I can't escape it.

She turned to look at him, taken aback by his worried gaze. His hair was dyed silver matching his mask and his color palette made him blend into the night. He was a phantom before her, seeking her out against the moonlight.

S: What's happened to you? You've dyed your hair, their not on your back...

"Zelle.."

She felt a hand catch her as her name was whispered from a voice all too familiar. It had been weeks since she had seen him, weeks since she felt his touch, and what felt like an eternity since they had stood at this very spot.

Somchai's phone buzzed with a text from his girlfriend. It simply read, "Meet me under the moon." No further context or questioning needed after her bout of silence.

The enchantment Care taught her worked. She looked at her normal, no winged counterpart with adoration. Letting the thought of the threat slip her mind, she decided to sneak out of the fae realm to normalcy. For one night, she wanted to be Zelle again, the free human girl.

Her eyes turned cold, narrowing at Zelle with warning malice.

C: Do not betray the honor bestowed to you Quinnzelle Arian. The fae are not someone to turn your back to nor are forgiving of such disrespect. I advise you move on from this begging and think of how to apologize to his grace.

Despite Zelle's pleas and heartfelt tangents, Care stared at her blankly. There was no change in her tone, no inclination of empathy.

C: I will teach you to conceal your form so you may also have that life but you are a fairy. The council expects you to do your duties and nothing will change that.

Z: But I'm just a normal sim, a journalist. I want to live my life as I dreamed with my dog, my work, and a partner. I didn't ask for this.

C: It's not about asking but being born for the task. Your skills and your heart, your plights make you a good vessel for fairyhood.

Care led Zelle into a room full of gnomes and other natural decor. She explained the world of the fae and the many supernatural mysteries hiding in the world she came from.

C: The council and our monarchs are looking for capable sims who can help continue impacting the world with useful skills.

Z: Thank you for meeting with me Care. I've been hoping for some guidance after feeling so alone in this.

C: Truthfully young fairy, I'm not sure you deserve it. The fairy council was up in arms after word of your assault on the king. Do you understand what could have happened to you if charged?

I want to hug that poor girl.

I finished the outside of my Cafe. I had so much fun with the exterior, blending the build into the world is my fav part.
