How else does a baker celebrate his engagement than to bake a cake? Freya and Sumara were exceptionally pleased as always.

Freya soon came running into the room exclaiming, "Mama say you get marrweed! That mean Uncle Ryan like unc Niko!"

Sumara laughed and smiled.

"That's right Freya. Orion is your real uncle now just like Masaru and Niko."

Freya squealed and clapped, "Yay more Ryan cake!"

And the room laughed.

S: So your mom told me on the way back you knew this was happening and agreed to stay behind so Freya didn't fuss.

J: Yeah, I'm cool like that Aunt Sumara. Plus, I'm going to get proposed to one day so I'll be okay.

S: You want to get married already?

J: Duh every prince and princess get married

Orion and Sumnara kissed, she jumped into his arms, and then she was bombarded with her siblings congratulations.

N: Congrats lil sis, you finally get the wedding bells you've been talking about since you were three.

S: Oh haha mister sage to be. Some of us dream of non-supernatural things.

"Sumara Vogel, with all of your family's approval and my endearing commitment to our future, will you do the honor of marrying me?"

"Orion!?" She gasped and took a pause. Then, she smiled and let him slide the ring onto her finger. She admired it earnestly, grinning.

"It would be my honor."

As he pulled her to the center of the stairway, he smiled.

"Sumara there is not a girl I would ever consider loving more than I do you. You have been my best friend since childhood and my first love. You've stolen every part my heart and I have loved growing beside you."

Moments before they reached the destination, the Vogel siblings gave each other a knowing look while Orion's eyes were stuck on Sumara. With a deep breath, he walked forward pulling her by her hand.

His gaze followed where Thalia whispered him to look. The hushed tones hid directions that the two younger siblings could not hear. But Orion's heart was pounding as they got closer and closer. Could he really do it?

🐺Update

Sumara had shown a lot of excitement when Orion proposed a hike with her and her siblings. They left her niece and nephew with her brother-in-law to enjoy some quality time together. Unbeknownst to her, it was a plan discussed long before the vacation had begun.

Her and Penny aren’t in the same situation exactly but I love seeing how similar their feelings are about the first pregnancy. I don’t want to post about my sims on your story but I just feel for her after playing a sim so similar 🥺
