You say this and yet that mech looks clean as heck to me! Great stuff as always! (and I feel you on that perfectionism bit, it can make it tricky to finish personal work for sure)

Yeah it's chill here for now! Political muskrat crap aside, the bot/ads situation was getting out of control over there.

Part of me kinda hopes bsky doesn't get TOO big either though since a lot of problems seem to be related to scale, from how many social media sites I have watched rise and fall

YEAH like anyone can just grab the data firehose and do with it as they wish

Common thing I see these days (at least among industry peeps) is minimal posting, sometimes nightshade/glaze (looks bad on my stuff tho augh) and have a loginwalled portfolio for serious clients to see the good stuff!

I do hope people realize that Bsky is aggressively public by design tho, and therefore is not "safe from AI" even if you "hide" your account.

Open protocol is the entire point, but it means that it's easier to scrape than the login-walled social media sites.

Just something to keep in mind..!

Really neat to see lots of artists have moved over here! Probs not quite as active as the initial influx, but I tend to always be late to the party anyway these days.

Still have to find everyone I used to follow elsewhere, but I sure don't plan to use twitter anymore. Not a huge fan of IG either

It's also way easier for me to use blog format posts to yap on there too - hate the word limits here, hard to articulate much of anything!

It might be rather niche, but I am hoping that anatomical modelling/science communication art will be generally AI-proof, because they need to be specific and accurate, and therefore cannot make use of random AI slop

(And of course I enjoy it a lot - it's super fun building these!)

The lil yeena was an anatomical study designed for 3D print - a little resin copy is already sitting on my shelf! Def want to do more of this kind of thing in the future.
