The NYT is reporting that the top voice against the Iran war in the White House is Tucker Carlson.

Not great that opposition to this illegal war is being led by a guy who explicitly links his antiwar views to a view of the Jews as infiltrating Christian society to force us into the Middle East.

Israel simply does not have the power to force the US government to do something it does not want to do. What Rubio is doing here, by claiming Israel forced the US hand, is making Israel the scapegoat for a US policy he knows is unpopular. This framing is going to be so bad for Diaspora Jews.

CAIR doesn't spend its time defending Saudi Arabia, excusing Islamophobia that benefits Saudi Arabia (like the ADL does with antisemitism, see Elon Musk), or pursuing state repression of critics Saudi Arabia.

Antisemitism is actually an existential threat to the Diaspora, which is why it's important to make fighting it a central objective that doesn't depend on someone's views of Israel, a country that favors negating the Diaspora.

Any self-preservation oriented Jewish institution should be rushing to align with Zohran and other humanist, cosmopolitan voices of Palestine solidarity who don't see it as an excuse to reopen the Jewish Question. Instead they're smearing him as a Nazi. It's fucking grim.

It's very bad! And the well-resourced Jewish communal organizations that should be on top of this burned all their credibility defending Israeli war crimes and are still primarily focused on playing Israel's lawyer rather than addressing the rapidly spreading gangrene.
