i’m obsessed with these boss fights i want to replay them over and over and over again. and i’d love a more difficult variant of the act 2 final boss. they were just a little too easy for such a climactic fight. like how absolute radiance fixed how easy radiance was!

i’m just so used to progression lockouts that i try to comb every square inch so i don’t miss something. and i still somehow manage to miss things. for a game that took 7 years to make, i’m constantly blown away by it taking *only* 7 years. it’s so dense. i just need godhome and it’s perfect

anyone who has attempted to 100% metroid prime will know about the ice shriekbats. very small enemies that appear in one specific area, do not respawn after progressing further, and destroy themselves upon seeing the player. you have a very small window to kill them prior to them attacking. cringe!

this is smthn that even the most expertly designed metroidvanias and adventure games still somehow neglect. i’ve had my experience with otherwise phenomenals game negatively impacted by missing something seemingly inconsequential that counted towards completion percentage

really appreciate how silksong has progression lockout protection. enemies you can’t encounter anymore will have their extra entry in the bestiary filled out if you didn’t defeat enough of them prior. access to act 3 is dependent on completing content that becomes inaccessible once act 2 concludes

silksong act 3 title made my jaw drop this is one of the best games ever made ever in the history of ever ever

i almost feel bad for beating the clockwork dancers, trobbio, and phantom first try. i adored their fights so much and just wanted to watch them. those all felt like dances. which fits the music theming of everything so perfectly. every new room i walk into, i’m hoping it’s a new boss. i’m obsessed

the feeling of that first attempt at a boss just trying to learn their attack patterns, watching for moments of vulnerability and when to heal, thinking of how to approach them and when to use tools or abilities

and then the rare occasion where you beat them first try? ohmygod dudeeeeee

i adore this boss fight so much btw. very very fun. love how it requires you to play aggressively in a game where you otherwise are better off playing it safe and waiting for openings. most fights feel like a dance between hornet and the boss, but this one felt so violent. i love it!!!!!!!

even more shocked to discover the parry skill. bummer it’s introduced relatively late into act 2 but i hope there’s a godhome equivalent either already included or being added later please please please please pleaseeeeee

the experience of playing “skate.” made me just want to play skate 3 instead

art direction genuinely looks like a fortnite creator map. to be brutally honest it plays like one too. i want to give it a fair shot but first impressions are fairly dreadful. this is all coming from someone who has played skate 3 for most of her life

from what little i was able to play, *most* tricks from skate 3 have returned but there were some noticeable absences like dark catching. very floaty, like you’re on a hoverboard instead of a skateboard. it doesn’t feel horrible but the game speed is noticeably slower, like skate 3 at .75x speed

i tried the skate 4 early access release. sorry i mean “skate.” waited 10 minutes to get into the game, made my character, and then hit a bug in the tutorial that required a restart. tried logging in again and my wait time was 2 hours. tried again and the servers were in maintenance. great start!
