I am wondering what NM progressives think about the Mamdani win in NYC. What is the message to the Democratic party?

With federal contracts canceled, employees laid off, programs discontinued, where is all that money going? Do we know it is being returned to the Treasury as US currency and not crypto?

Another refugee from Facebook. I'm just starting to poke around here and on Substack. A little overwhelming, and awesome. A request: I wish everyone would stop using the words *populist* and *populism* to refer to Trump ideology and supporters. They aren't nearly as populist as any of us.

While I intend to support the Feb 28 effort to *Defund the Oligarchy* a question on my mind is how will we know our wave of support has worked? Is there a blip in the economy to be seen? Are we expecting media to notice anything?

And what are the Dems doing about the coup to turn the US into a dictatorship? Suing the government? Being guests on MSNBC? We need real ideas, leadership, effective counter measures. Their chess pieces are not even on the board.
