Haatdrager will open the Hall of Fame stage on Saturday, 19 April at Roadburn.

Roadburn has once again teamed up with Eindhoven-based music education institute Metal Factory to help usher in a new generation of talent. Formed as part of a months-long education programme, Haatdrager will make their live debut at Roadburn 2025.

This year The Spark will feature Rattenburcht emerging from the sewers of Amsterdam to join us, Temple Fang making a welcome return, and our pals in Thou - who better to help us kick things off than them?

The Spark is free to attend, no ticket needed. Bands start at 19:00. See you there?

As has become a beloved tradition - we’re kicking off Roadburn with The Spark, our Wednesday night pre-festival show at the 013.

The collective of Andalusian musicians, led by Marco Serrato (Orthodox, Altair) and featuring ambient musician David Cordero and lauded guitarist Raúl Cantizano, will bring their fiery mix between heavy rock and flamenco to the festival.

We are extremely honoured to announce a special performance by Frente Abierto at Roadburn 2025.

As part of her residency at Roadburn 2025, Madeline Johnston AKA Midwife will perform her latest full-length, No Depression In Heaven with a backing band. The backing band in question will be familiar to Roadburners: Thou.

Often described as “tribal-psych” the three women behind Kuunatic utilise traditional Japanese instruments, ritual drumming and high concept sci-fi mythology to construct the framework upon which their trippy missives are laced through.

Over two decades, Toby Driver has amassed an impressive body of work - as a solo artist and as part of bands such as Kayo Dot and maudlin of the well. These two performances will highlight different facets of his artistry, demonstrating both dark and light.

Composer and multi-instrumentalist Toby Driver is no stranger to us here at Roadburn, and he will play two sets that book-end the festival, one on Thursday with his project Alora Crucible, and a second on Sunday simply as Toby Driver.

P.S. Fear not! Paradox, the renowned jazz club, will once again be a part of Roadburn. The lineup for Friday and Saturday will be announced a few weeks from now.

We hope that you will have a lot of fun discovering all the gems in the lineup and start getting those pre-Roadburn butterflies in your stomach already.

We have added the last inspirational and essential artists that have made the bill feel complete, and now with almost all of the puzzle pieces in place, we are extremely happy to see our hard work coming to fruition.

Whilst the two elements both retain their own distinctive hallmarks, there is a new frisson of electricity present where the two paths cross. We’re counting down the days until we can witness this union on stage at Roadburn.

To say that it sounds like what you might expect if you put one of the most intense current heavy bands in a studio with one of the most captivating modern orators, simply doesn’t do it justice.

We’re over the moon to announce a collaborative performance between Sumac and Moor Mother at Roadburn 2025. Today they announced the album, 'The Film', which will land on April 25 via Thrill Jockey, and we already know it’s going to have a huge - and deserved - impact in the Roadburn world.

It’s our pleasure to invite Insect Ark back to Roadburn to present their latest material and demonstrate their considerable evolution since they were last at Roadburn, back in 2018.

Insect Ark has been through a few different incarnations over the years, but at its core is always Dana Schechter. On their latest album, Raw Blood Singing, Dana steps out of Insect Ark’s ominous shadows to add her vocals to their already foreboding experimental sounds.

Merging hip hop, hardcore, metal, electronics and more, Doodseskader are an enigmatic force that has seen them slink into the hearts and record collections of many Roadburners already. They will make their first appearance at Roadburn – and we can’t wait to welcome them.

So we have done the decent thing and booked their return trip already - this time they will play somewhere that can cram in even more sweaty, Xiu Xiu-lovin’ bodies.

We try to avoid making mistakes where we can, but when we do, we like to right those wrongs as swiftly as possible. We were beyond thrilled with Xiu Xiu’s Roadburn 2024 set, but it is evident that we underestimated just how many folk wanted to get on board the Xiu Xiu hype train.

There are just 100 days to go until Roadburn 2025 is upon us! We have more to announce, and hopefully you have more still to discover!
