I have been interested in astronomy for 60+ years and have seen many changes. The advent of computers and digital imaging have had a profound effect on the subject. I enjoy the challenge of astrophotography although by no means an expert.

This video of Jupiter was captured on 19th December 2024 between about 18:00UT and 21:00UT. It has been an ambition of mine to capture a complete shadow transit of a moon of Jupiter - in this case Io. Ganymede also makes a 'guest' appearance #astronomy #astrophotography

You will always keep learning - you'll never know everything about astrophotography. The Andromeda Galaxy, although big and relatively bright, is not an easy object to image. An excellent start, keep going πŸ‘πŸ˜

Hi All
My first attempt at posting on BlueSky. I'm by no means an expert but I enjoy astrophotography. Here's my version of the famous Horsehead Nebula in Orion #Astronomy #Astrophotography
