A letter from the Environmental Audit Committee to the Environment Secretary: https://committees.parliament.uk/publications/47483/documents/247138/default/

We’ve written to the Environment Secretary requesting more information to comments made at our evidence session in March.

We discussed issues from air quality to delivering environmental protections alongside growth.

My @britishecologicalsociety.org POST Fellowship with @commonseac.parliament.uk has finished - an amazing experience. So many highlights, and working on the Sec of State for Defra session, sitting alongside EAC's Chair on the day was a big one.
Back to PhD-ing now and richer for the experience.

1/ The #Curlew is Britain’s largest wader, but sadly also one of its most threatened. Previous BTO research has shown that this is largely due to the number of chicks fledged that are able to survive to reach breeding age. #Ornithology #UKBirding

It's a good question, I'm sure the students wondered the same! It was a present from some friends, apparently they saw it and it reminded them of me... why exactly, I'll never know πŸ˜‚

Secondary school outreach - wildlife monitoring On a crisp autumn afternoon, Charlie Le Marquand peered nervously through the windows of Central Hall and watched as a cluster of 12 and 13 year olds approached the building. This was to be her first...

I recently had my first go at some secondary school outreach running a workshop station on camera traps for groups of Year 8 students. I did a short blog about the experience if anyone would like to know how I got on!
